Russia attacks Ukrainian army-industrial facilities
According to the ministry’s statement, the coordinated attacks used a mix of air-, land-, sea-based high-precision weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). “All of the intended facilities have been hit,” the statement claimed.
In a separate update, the ministry said Russian forces also struck Ukrainian military recruitment centers, airfields, and drone launch sites. Over 130 temporary deployment locations of Ukrainian troops were reportedly targeted within 24 hours.
Ukrainian officials confirmed Russian airstrikes across several regions, including Kiev, Dnepropetrovsk, Poltava, Kharkov, Nikolaev, and Sumy.
The strikes come as Ukraine ramps up drone operations against Russian territory, particularly in the capital Moscow. Russian authorities have denounced the cross-border UAV raids as “terrorist attacks,” accusing Ukraine of targeting civilian areas and infrastructure.
The Defense Ministry added that nearly 180 Ukrainian drones were intercepted inside Russian territory between Friday evening and Saturday morning, with over a dozen headed for Moscow.
